Emerging Leaders Forum Brisbane: see the legacy being built
For the first time, Transport Australia’s Emerging Leaders Forum is coming to Australia’s Olympic city, Brisbane.
As Queensland prepares for a defining decade of transport investment, this one-day forum will give emerging leaders a rare chance to see how national transport priorities are being translated into major project delivery.
At the centre of the program is a site tour of the Cross River Rail project and supporting works, being delivered by a consortium led by CPB Contractors.
This is more than a project tour. It is a chance to see the legacy of major transport investment up close, and understand how decisions made today will shape the way people move through Brisbane for decades to come.
Designed for early career professionals, the forum will include small group discussions where participants can share insights, test ideas and explore the leadership skills needed to support Australia’s future transport system.
The day will conclude with networking, giving emerging leaders the opportunity to connect with peers and build relationships across the sector.

Claudia Elfar wins Emerging Leader award

The 2026 Emerging Leaders Award was presented to Claudia Elfar, a civil engineer at Arcadis, for her research proposal which will examine how better procurement models, improved design maturity and clearer risk allocation can reduce rework, cost escalation and delivery uncertainty across major infrastructure projects. |
