Federal Minister Kristy McBain to keynote Transforming Transport Summit
We are thrilled to announce The Hon Kristy McBain MP, Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories and Minister for Emergency Management, will deliver the opening keynote address at the 2026 Transforming Transport Summit: Connecting Communities, Powering the Economy.
Minister McBain’s address will bring an important national perspective to the Summit, offering delegates valuable insight into the future of transport, regional development and investment priorities, and how these issues are being framed at a national level.
We are also pleased to confirm our second keynote speaker, Senator the Hon Bridget McKenzie, Leader of The Nationals in the Senate, Senator for Victoria, Shadow Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, and Shadow Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories.
Senator McKenzie will bring a strong national and regional lens to the discussion, adding further value to the program and giving delegates the opportunity to hear how senior political leaders are approaching the challenges and opportunities facing the transport sector.
The Summit will bring together top public sector and industry leaders from across Australia and New Zealand to explore new ideas for a safe, sustainable, resilient and integrated transport system.
